This really is beautiful. It's a beautiful instrument in the right hands, and I'd say you are most assuredly the right one! And wonderful background music, too, never overwhelming, but never too timid, either. Love it!

Wow, I really enjoyed this, it has such a calming influence and I like the background noises and synths which quietly enhance the flavour. Mandolin is an instrument which my grandfather's brother played professionally etc and where from some people say my own musicality comes from, so I really appreciate this, great playing, reminds me a bit of the Fairport Convention.

This is a fantastically beautiful piece, I enjoyed it so much. So much melody and the interesting sounds behind the mandolin, but yet the mandolin clearly stands out. This track was masterfully done - there is so much talent in your family, you must be so proud. Great job, my hat's off to you and your husband

Ah, how exquisite! You made a classical tune into a great modern groove... Beautiful playing!! You're incredible and I have been honored by hearing such an incredible song... Simple, but potent, dreamy, air-light, and tightly wrapped all at once... I see myself in the dark with nothing but the stars to guide me on a long journey to a place I've lost... You know a song is good when you can picture something physical and real... Thank you so much for sharing this!!

Very strong play Lady Ruth you are an awesome musician This is traditional but your play is very modern and such perfect production - well thought out - how are you all getting so much clarity and umffff???? I really dig the FX multimike adds to the backtracks. This song could be used 'AS IS' in a modern day 'Sound Of Music' done in Ireland. I can see the overhead fly-by shots now. You really capture and set a mood in your performances. This one's a keeper. great collab you 2

Powerfully beautiful, I'm in awe. I love the mix of the mandolin with a jarre sweeping electronic atmosphere, but it doesn't overpower your mandolin playing. There's no fear of ideas here. It really lifts at the end, excellent arrangements.

What I failed to mention in the other critique was that your arrangements are really nice and the production quality of both songs is very professional. This is another beauty. I just read in another critique of this song that you've only been playing the mandolin for a little over a year? If so, you were meant to play it. Way to go. You & your husband make beautiful songs together.

I agree with Gene, this would be perfect for a soundtrack - maybe one for some mystical medieval tale. I love how you've combined the traditional melody with those comtempory electronic touches. It's fantastic the way it all works so well together

What an amazing song. I'm a big fan of medieval music and this song got me hooked from the first second! Mystical, melancholic, relaxing, it got everything I love in medieval songs like these. I just adore the tone of the mandoline and the background arrangments, they flow together perfectly!
Great, great song! I would definitally love to hear more like this.

a year of playing, did i read up top? that is mightily impressive. clever backing which seems to slowly morph into a Jean-Michel Jarre style song, yet retains its sense of direction, gentle yet upbeat.

Tim (Octadelica) recommended i would go hear this tune. And i dont regret it. This is a fabolous tune. Most intresting thing is accually how well you got the background arrangments to work with the mandolin, creates a nice athmosphere.
Great job
